In 2003, Amy co-founded the award winning theatre company for young people, en masse, with the writer & composer Oliver Birch. Between 2003 and 2011, Amy ran the company, producing and directing all of their original productions for children and families. The company toured nationally and internationally, and won two Fringe First Awards.

The Echo Chamber

A site-specific ghost story created for and performed at The Underbelly as part of the Edinburgh Festival 2003. 

This production was revived at the Edinburgh Festival 2008.

The Ignatius Trail

A musical about a crew of rubbish pirates which premiered at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2004. This production toured the UK twice visiting over 50 venues, as well as travelling to theatres in Warsaw and Malaysia. It returned to the Edinburgh Fringe in 2005.

The Shelter

A site-specfic thriller set in an air raid shelter during World War II, this production opened at the Edinburgh Festival in 2005 and toured to over 20 venues across the UK.

The Iceberg

The story of a Victorian explorer attempting to find the perfect iceberg in Antarctica, this production opened at the Royal Exchange Theatre, Manchester in January 2008 followed by a tour of the UK. It was revived at Southwark Playhouse during which time it was performed on board the HMS Belfast. This production was designed by Miriam Nabarro.

We All Fall Down

Based on the true tale of the plague village at Eyam, this chilling Orpheus-inspired adventure premiered at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2008 and toured the UK in 2009.

Spaceship '87

Set on the night of the great storm of 1987, this tale of space travel, divorce, Michael Fish and a little girl's big imagination was performed at the Royal Exchange Theatre, Manchester over Christmas 2009. This production was designed by Sally Leach.

The Animated Tales of Shakespeare

A storyteller, a musician, an illustrator and an overhead projector combine to bring The Tempest & Macbeth to life for young people aged 6+.

Co-produced by and performed at the egg, Bath, this production also toured to local primary schools.
