A Christmas Carol
By Charles Dickens
Adapted by Deborah McAndrew It’s Christmas Eve in Victorian Leeds, but the cold-hearted Ebenezer Scrooge hasn’t an ounce of festive cheer. As the cold night draws in, four ghostly spirits take Ebenezer on a magical journey through his past, his present and his future, hoping to show him the error of his ways. With Christmas spirit, fun, music and magic at its heart, this timeless Charles Dickens tale is brought vividly to life. With all the joys of a festive family story, Leeds Playhouse reinvented this production of A Christmas Carol from the Pop-Up Season in 2018, based on an original production at Hull Truck Theatre. A Christmas Carol had integrated British Sign Language at all performances. 1000 tickets were available for free to NHS workers.
